NeuroHub Compass

Terms: buying and using NeuroHub Compass

Version 2026-10-08Applies to people in the UK

These are the terms of your agreement with NeuroHub Community Ltd when you buy and use NeuroHub Compass. We have tried to write them in plain words. The short version is first, and the full terms follow it. If anything is unclear, ask us before you pay.

The short version

1. Who we are

NeuroHub Compass is made and sold by NeuroHub Community Ltd (“NeuroHub”, “we”, “us”), an Autistic-led organisation registered in England and Wales. You can reach us at enquiries@neurohubcommunity.org or through neurohubcommunity.org/contact-us. “You” means the person buying and using NeuroHub Compass, who must be aged 18 or over.

2. What you are buying

You are buying a personal licence to use NeuroHub Compass: the daily six-area check-in, the daily ideas and the library, trends and insights, the Toolkit, the documents, and Phoenix, an AI companion. You pay for it in six monthly instalments. The licence is for you, for your own personal use. It is not transferable, and it cannot be shared, resold or used for a business or an organisation.

What “for life” means

After your sixth payment, the licence has no end date and nothing further is charged for it. It lasts for as long as we run NeuroHub Compass. If we ever decide to close it, we will give you at least 90 days’ notice, let you download all of your data, and stop taking any payments. We will also tell you how we will treat anyone who has not yet finished their six payments. We do not promise that every feature will stay exactly as it is: we may improve, change or replace features over time, and we will not remove the core daily check-in without good reason and notice.

3. Price and payments

4. Your right to a refund

You can cancel and get a full refund of everything you have paid at any point in the first 14 days after your first payment. You do not need to give a reason. To use it, email enquiries@neurohubcommunity.org from the address you signed in with, or use the contact form. We refund through Stripe to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days, and your licence ends when we do.

This is in addition to your legal rights as a consumer. Because NeuroHub Compass is digital content and a digital service that you can use straight away, the law allows access to start without the 14-day cancellation period running down your refund. We choose to give you the full 14 days anyway.

5. After the sixth payment

6. If you stop paying before the sixth payment

7. What NeuroHub Compass is and is not

NeuroHub Compass is an education and self-reflection tool, with peer-informed ideas drawn from NeuroHub’s books and training and from the Autistic community. It helps you notice your own patterns. It is not therapy, counselling, medical advice, a diagnosis, a medical device or a crisis service. Phoenix is a computer program. Nobody watches your check-ins, and we cannot contact you if you are struggling, so it is not a way to get urgent help.

If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, call your local emergency number (999 in the UK) or use the red Help button in the app, which shows helplines for your country.

Nothing in the app is a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Please do not change or stop any medication because of anything you read or are told in the app: that is a decision for you and your prescriber.

8. Your account and your data

9. Using it fairly

10. Phoenix AI, limits and pauses

Phoenix AI writes replies using Anthropic’s Claude. AI can be wrong, so please check anything important. While you are paying, the licence includes a fair daily allowance of Phoenix AI replies (currently 15 a day). We may change these limits, for example if costs change, and we will tell you in the app. We may pause Phoenix AI at any time if it misbehaves or if we cannot afford to run it. If that happens, the rest of the app keeps working.

11. Changes to the service and to these terms

We may update these terms, for example if the law changes or we add a feature. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app before it starts and, if it is worse for you in a way that is more than small, you can end your agreement and we will refund the payments made in the last 12 months. The version of the terms you agreed to is recorded when you pay.

12. Our responsibility

We are responsible if we cause you a loss that was a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for problems caused by things outside our control (for example an internet outage, or a failure of a payment or hosting provider), or for decisions you make based on what the app says. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including the right to digital content and services that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

13. The law, and what to do if something goes wrong

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute (if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also use the courts there). If you are unhappy, please write to us first at enquiries@neurohubcommunity.org and we will try to put it right.
